Newell’s Old Boys vs Boca

In round 15, Newell’s Old Boys claimed their second consecutive win in the Superliga by beating San Martin Tucuman 3-0 away. It was also their first success on the road this term, with the previous matches ending in one draw and six defeats. La Lepra’s have been inconsistent so far, collecting 18 points in 13th. However, they are strong at their own stadium, having grabbed 13 points from the last 15 available.
Boca Juniors finished 2018 suffering a heavy blow in the Copa Libertadores’ final, losing 3-1 in extra time in the second leg against arch-rivals River Plate on neutral ground (5-3 on aggregate). However, the side is on three wins in a row in the league, having beaten Independiente 1-0 in their last Superliga outing. That run allowed them to climb into sixth on 24 points with two matches in hand. However, their away campaign has been irregular so far, with two triumphs, two draws and two defeats.

Boca Juniors have the better potential in this clash and they have one of the most powerful attacks in the league with many different options coming from the bench, but as shown during their summer friendlies they are still weak defensively so I have to bet the short over a line here.
