I am betting Japan here today v Croatia, I think they are very much underrated against a Croatian side who I have not been impressed with bar beating a Canadian side who were too open and against Belgium they should never have taken a point which saw them progress to this round. Saying that Japan is a step down from Belgium but Japan have shown they can mix it with the better teams beating both Germany and Spain, so why not taking something off a Croatian side who for me lack the speed and intensity of the Japanese players, this will not be an enjoyable game for Croatia. Japan have players on the bench who can make them even stronger as shown v Germany, Mitoma who plays for Brighton is a player that should be starting and they can really stretch what would sure to be already weary Croatian legs if he comes off the bench, so betting Japan +0.5 is a value bet at current odds.
