USA vs Vietnam
I am betting under 6 goals here today, the goals line feels a little big when taking into accounts the results so far in this tournament, I would say cautiously that the games so far would suggest that smaller nations have improved, they are more organised and better set up. In addition the better teams are clearly not wanting to peak too soon and there was a noticeable drop in tempo after the 3rd goal in the Spain v Costa Rica match as there was after the 2nd in the Switzerland v Philippians game and we may see the States do the same if they find themselves 3 or 4 goals up. Vietnam were hammered 9-0 by Spain in a match pre-tournament so they won’t want a repeat of that scoreline but it was only a matter of weeks ago they lost only 2-1 to Germany in Germany, so it shows they can do ok against the better teams. I would rather bet the under as it is difficult to see Vietnam scoring and I don’t want to risk another bet on Vietnam +5.75, so happy just to bet the unders.
