O Timao are occupying tenth spot in the Brasileirao table on 30 points after 24 matches. Corinthians are unbeaten in their last 11 home matches, winning eight and drawing three since losing to RB Bragantino in early July.

Fortaleza EC haven’t found any difficulties to qualify for this stage: they beat America Mineiro 2-1 at home to make it 5-2 on aggregate. Last Wednesday, O Leao also beat Sao Paulo 2-1 away to remain into eighth spot of the Brazilian league table on 38 points, trailing the last Copa Libertadores’ berth by two. Juan Pablo Vojvoda’s men lost only one of their last nine competitive matches, winning seven and drawing one. On away turf, they claimed three victories across the last four, just losing to Fluminense 1-0 in that time.

Fortaleza has been more solid lately, not only in the brazilian league but also in this competition while Corinthians has struggled lately. Also Fortaleza has dominated their recent meetings winning two and drawing one, so I’ll trust them to avoid a defeat in this first leg.
