Overall, La Academia managed a single victory in regular time in their last nine matches in all competitions, drawing two and losing six. At home, they beat Union Santa Fe 1-0 in their last game to stop a three-match winless run of one draw and two defeats at Estadio Presidente Peron.
Meanwhile, Boca Juniors also had to wait until the penalty shootout to advance to the Copa Libertadores’ quarter-finals after losing 1-0 at home to Brazil’s Internacional last Wednesday. Racing has been quite lucky to advance in Libertadores while at the same time they’ve been terrible in the league what means that since football returned, they won only 1 out of 9 games. Boca is clearly the better team here and can get a win in this 1st leg.
