Racing (Argentina) vs Boca (Argentina)
Racing Club managed a valuable scoreless draw on their visit to Boca Juniors last Wednesday in an uneventful game, which means they need to win at home in order to advance to the semi-finals. Last Saturday, coach Fernando Gago fielded an alternative XI and his team won 2-1 away at Tigre to make it four points in two rounds of Copa Liga Profesional action, also approaching the continental spots in the aggregate table. Overall, Racing are on four matches unbeaten, winning two and drawing two. At home, they haven’t lost any of the last eight, with five victories and three stalemates in that spell.
Boca Juniors failed to take the first step towards the semi-finals following a 0-0 home stalemate against Racing Club last week. On Sunday, coach Jorge Almiron rested all his regulars and the team lost 1-0 away at Sarmiento, which means they remain on three points in the Copa Liga Profesional. However, El Xeneize remain occupying one of the Copa Libertadores’ places in the aggregate table. That loss stopped a 12-match unbeaten streak of eight victories and four draws in regular time. On away turf, it’s been three wins and two draws before that recent defeat.
I bet on the OVER 2 last week and it was a 0-0 draw but I’m going to try the same here. Racing will have Roger Martinez, their best striker, back after missing the last game due to injury, Boca will have Edinson Cavani again, and one goal should open things up for sure.
