Copa Libertadores: Independiente Medellin vs Boca Juniors Odds – Sept 24, 2020

Independiente Medellin is yet to earn points in the Copa Libertadores 2020. Last week, the side were beaten by Caracas FC 3-2 at home in an entertaining game. Colombian league action returned last weekend, with Medellin losing 1-0 at Alianza Petrolera on Saturday (which means they are on three consecutive defeats in all competitions). The team are sitting in 13th spot of the league table on 11 points, four behind the playoffs zone. After this negative run, coach Aldo Bobadilla’s job is at risk. Furthermore, Independiente Medellin lost four of their last five home matches, just beating Millonarios 1-0 in March.

Boca Juniors climbed into the top of Group H last week after beating Libertad 2-0 away thanks to a brace from Eduardo Salvio. They are now on seven points, as well as Caracas FC who have already played in-game week four. El Xeneize remains unbeaten in 2020, with nine victories and two stalemates. Boca managed 16 points in six away matches since coach Miguel Angel Russo arrived in January.

Medellin lost almost all their best players since they won the Colombian cup last year and they looked clueless since football returned in their country, so this should be a win for Boca who are a definitely much better team.
