Meanwhile, Universidad Catolica don’t want to give up the fight for a berth in the knockout stage. Last Wednesday, they stopped a three-game losing run in all competitions by beating Nacional 3-1 at home to take their first three points in this competition. The team are now third-placed in group F, trailing Atletico Nacional (in second) by just one. On Sunday, Los Cruzados also won 3-0 at home over Union La Calera to climb into third place in the Chilean league on 12 points in six matches, trailing leaders Audax by one but with one game in hand. On away turf, they are on three defeats in a row overall.
Argentinos has been great lately in this competition with 3 wins in 3 games but I can’t see them going crazy about getting a 4th one here since a draw will be enough to almost secure a place in the next stage, so I expect a close game with two teams that will just try to avoid a defeat.
