I am betting Cardiff City here, they are +1.5 at home and even given all the extra motivation that is simply too much. I do believe perceived extra motivation plays a factor in games at this stage of the season but when the team that is playing at home is perceived to have less motivation i don’t believe the motivation fall is just as big if the away team is perceived to have less motivation. The team news is that Southampton is without first choice goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu, Cardiff is without their first choice keeper Jak Alwick still and central defender Mark McGuinness but those missing are more than factored into the team news.
