I am betting Cardiff -0.25 here, I think they are great odds however there is a reason they are the odds they are and that is because they sacked star winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing which obviously is not the preparation any clubs want heading into a new season in 3 day’s time. However, I think they have the players and the squad to overcome this issue as big as it is. Sheffield Wednesday lost some important players during the close season namely Steven Fletcher and I do question if they have a leader for their attack, he is a big loss and I think they will be looking to a loan deal in the coming weeks to strengthen their attack. Wednesday are not in a good place financially and I would wonder how that has impacted squad morale. I think overall there has been an overreaction to the Nathan Mendez-Laing sacking and with Cardiff being one of the form teams in the championship post lockdown I think they are worth a bet -0.75 at home to a Wednesday side there are big question marks over for the incoming season.
