I am betting the under 2.5 goals here, I make it a value bet, Wigan are a well-organised side and they can make it more difficult than many expect and on the field, Wigan are flying at the moment, they have not conceded in 7 championship games and have lost just 1 of their last 12 matches. However, off the field they are financially in trouble and have entered into administration this week and will be deducted 12 points, meaning they are now bottom of the league on 38 points. They travel to high flying Brentford who have a clear chance of automatic promotion and the Bees have only lost 1 in 11. Brentford and Wigan have both seen 21 of their 40 matches contain under 2.5 goals with Brentford’s matches averaging 2.58 goals while Wigan is lower with just 2.38 goals featuring in their matches on average. I think Wigan will come looking for a point and set up in that manner and make it really difficult for Brentford to break them down and as well as that it could actually be argued that Wigan has the greater motivation and considering they are in great form and now fighting for their lives I think they can make it very difficult for the high flying Bees and happy to bet the under 2.5 goals in what should be a tighter match than many expect.
