I am betting Gladbach here -0.75, Mainz have been awful this season and it is difficult to see where the improvement will come to trouble one of the better teams in the league. Gladbach is pretty much at full strength for this match, they got an excellent result midweek v Inter Milan in the champions league with a 2-2 draw and were close to collecting all 3 points in that game. Mainz have lost all 4 games this season scoring only 2 goals in the process conceding 12, I think Gladbach will view this as a great opportunity to get 3 points and get moving up the table. I am also betting the goals in this match, both these sides saw their matches last season average over 3 goals a game (3.21 & 3.12), Gladbach’s games had 24 of their 34 Bundesliga matches with 3 or more and Mainz had 22 of their matches with 3 goals or more and after poor starts, both teams will want the 3 points and I think it should lend itself to an open match and the over 3 goals is an achievable target.
