Lanus – Aldosivi

Lanus are getting worse game after game. Last time out, the team ended up losing 3-1 away at Velez Sarsfield despite having taken the first lead. That defeat extended their winless streak to six league games (three stalemates and three losses) and also means Jorge Almiron’s men are now bottom-placed in group B on six points. Five of those points were grabbed at Estadio Nestor Diaz Perez as El Granate won one, drew two and lost one in this competition.

Aldosivi are experiencing excellent form at the moment. Last time out, they made it three consecutive successes in the Copa Liga Profesional by beating Colon 3-1 away. As a result, the team climbed into one of the qualifying spots in group B, accumulating 13 points, and are now occupying the 21st place in the relegation table, which is their main worry this season. On away turf, El Tiburon registered two victories and two defeats this season.

Lanus have been terrible so far this season and they have to be tired after playing at Venezuela on Thursday, plus they have a tough midweek game again in three days, so I’m going here with Aldosivi who are in much better form.
