Central Cordoba vs Racing

CA Central Cordoba are out of chances to win the Fase Complementacion’s group B following their 3-1 away defeat at Newell’s Old Boys last Monday. They secured a single point in three matches in the second stage. Overall, El Ferroviario are winless in their last four games, having drawn one and lost three. At home, Central are on eight matches without a win, having drawn three and lost five since beating Colon 1-0 in January. CA Central Cordoba captain Cristian Vega is suspended after reaching the yellow-card limit at Newell’s Old Boys. Centre backs Franco Sbuttoni and Hugo Vera Oviedo remain out injured while Oscar Salomon, who have been occupying one of those spots, saw a red card in the last game and is also suspended.

Racing Club put an end to a three-match winless run in the Copa Liga Profesional (one draw and two defeats) last Sunday, when they thrashed Godoy Cruz 6-1 at home with Lorenzo Melgarejo scoring a hat-trick. As a result, Sebastian Beccacece’s men are occupying third spot the Fase Complementacion’s group B on four points, five behind leaders Newell’s Old Boys.

Same story as the previous preview, nothing to play for these two and Central Cordoba will have a lot of missings in defense. Racing comes from scoring 6 last week and again I have to expect goals here.
