Argentine Primera Division: Velez vs Boca odds for February 25, 2023

Velez vs Boca

Velez Sarsfield fans will have felt heartbroken after their 1-1 away draw at Atletico Tucuman last Monday as the team conceded the equaliser in the fourth minute of stoppage time. The stalemate means El Fortin are now on three league games without a win (two draws and one defeat) and accumulate five points in four matches this term, with coach Alexander Medina’s job already in doubt. On a positive note, Velez have been unbeaten in their last seven matches as the hosting side in league action, winning six and drawing one.

Boca Juniors played their best match of the season so far last Sunday, when they showed an interesting version to beat Platense 3-1 at home. The defending champions made a great recovery after taking a single point from the previous six and accumulated seven in four matches overall. In fact, Hugo Ibarra’s men lost only one of their last six encounters in league action, winning three and drawing two in that spell. Boca lost two of their last three away domestic matches, just beating Gimnasia LP in that time.

Velez has been solid at home, Boca has been conceding away but they are always a dangerous team in attack, so I expect a game with at least a couple of goals here.
