Argentine Primera Division: Union vs Tigre Odds for June 05, 2022

Union vs Tigre

Union Santa Fe lost their last five league matches, which left them out of the race for a ticket to the playoffs. Having accumulated 17 points, they will try to climb into the continental places in the aggregate table. Afterwards, El Tatengue secured a spot in the Copa Sudamericana round of 16 after drawing against Brazil’s Fluminense 0-0 at home and beating Colombia’s Junior 4-0 away. Union lost their last two home matches in league action (to San Lorenzo and Defensa y Justicia, both 2-1).

Tigre experienced an excellent return to the top flight: they finished as runners up in the Copa Liga Profesional after losing 3-0 to Boca Juniors in the final. In fact, their 20 points in the group stage allow them to occupy one of the Copa Sudamericana spots in the aggregate table. On a sorry note, El Matador claimed a single regular-time win in their last seven league matches, drawing two and losing four.

With the Copa Sudamericana qualification in their pocket, Union can finally focus again on the league and at home they should have enough to beat this Tigre that reached the final on a lucky run but are not that good.
