Argentine Primera Division: Union vs Rosario Central Odds for October 31, 2021

Union vs Rosario Central

Last Monday, Union Santa Fe wasted a big chance of climbing into the last Copa Sudamericana berth in the 2021 aggregate table following their 1-0 away defeat at Independiente in an uneventful game. Having won only one of four games under boss Gustavo Munua (along with one draw and two losses), El Tatengue remain producing an irregular campaign, with 22 points in this tournament.

Rosario Central managed a much-needed victory last weekend, when they beat Racing Club 2-1 at home thanks to goals from Gino Infantino and Marco Ruben. The team are on four matches unbeaten in the Liga Profesional, winning two and drawing two to make it 24 points in the league rankings. Thanks to that positive run, they are now fighting for a Copa Sudamericana ticket (sitting one point behind the last berth in the aggregate table, occupied by Argentinos Juniors). On a sorry note, El Canalla are on three matches without a win on the road, having taken only two points from nine available.

Both have conceded 25 goals in 18 rounds but they also scored 20 and 25 respectively, so I have to expect another open game between them.
