Union vs Lanus
Union Santa Fe are still struggling in the league. The team are now winless in the last seven matches in this competition, drawing two and losing five since beating Estudiantes 2-0 at home in week five. That streak keeps them bottom in the league table on eight points, two behind Independiente.
Lanus showed a promising version last weekend and it was enough to secure an important 2-1 home success over Sarmiento thanks to a brace from Leandro Diaz. Through that success, the team made it four league games without defeat, winning two and drawing two in that time. They also made it 22 points in 13 rounds of Liga Profesional action, climbing into sixth place of the respective table. On a sorry note, Lanus are on five winless matches on away turf, having drawn three and lost two since beating Estudiantes 2-0 in round three. Winger Pedro De la Vega is expected to be available on Sunday after overcoming dengue.
The 2nd best attack of the league (Lanus with 21 goals) visits the 3rd worst defense (Union, 20 conceded). The hosts are desperate for wins as they are bottom of the league right now, Lanus could use this chance to get closer to River and San Lorenzo that couldn’t win this round, so I expect to see goals here.
