Union vs Huracan
Union Santa Fe are now flying high in the league. Last weekend, coach Gustavo Munua fielded an alternative XI but the team still had enough to secure a 3-2 away success at Banfield. It was their third consecutive victory in the Liga Profesional to make it 13 points and continue climbing positions both in the league (ninth) and the 2022 aggregate table (they are now holding one of the Copa Sudamericana places). Union won their last home match in this competition (3-0 over Lanus) to stop a four-game losing streak at Estadio 15 de Abril in domestic action.
Huracan are now on six league matches unbeaten (four victories and two draws) following their 3-2 away success at Lanus last Sunday, with Matias Coccaro netting a brace in a thrilling game. Therefore, Diego Dabove’s men climbed into third spot in the Liga Profesional table on 14 points, only one behind leaders Newell’s Old Boys, and also remain into the Copa Sudamericana zone in the 2022 aggregate table. On away turf, El Globo are on three matches unbeaten, having won two and drawn one since losing to Racing Club 2-0 in round one. Â
Both are in good form and become leaders with a win, but I like the hosts better as I think Huracan has been playing above their real level lately.
