Union vs Estudiantes
Union Santa Fe continue facing trouble this term. Last Saturday, the team showed a very disappointing version and succumbed to a 1-0 away defeat at San Lorenzo, which means they are yet to win in the Liga Profesional, having accumulated just three points from 15 on offer. In fact, El Tatengue are on nine league matches without a win, with five stalemates and four defeats since beating Sarandi Arsenal at home in October.
Estudiantes also are finding it tough to satisfy their fans’ expectations. On Saturday, the team had to settle for a 1-1 home draw against relegation candidates Sarmiento, conceding the equaliser just six minutes before the final whistle. El Pincha accumulated five points in as many matches in the Liga Profesional, having won one, drawn two and lost two so far, which puts coach Abel Balbo’s job in danger.
Can’t expect much from these two struggling teams. Estudiantes was supposed to be much higher in the standings but they’ve been terribly disappointing so far, Union doesn’t have much, they’ve both scored a combined 6 goals after 5 rounds (Estudiantes 4 and Union just 2) so I think this should be a balanced, boring game.
