Union vs Belgrano
Union Santa Fe fans should feel worried as the team continue deflating their performance. Last time out, the team showed a terrible version and were lucky to lose 1-0 away at River Plate as the league leaders dominated the whole game. El Tatengue are now on three matches without a win, having drawn one and lost two in that spell. With only seven points in nine rounds, they occupy the penultimate spot of the Liga Profesional table, leading bottom-placed Colon by one. Following this poor campaign, coach Gustavo Munua left the club. At home, Union managed four points in as many matches, winning one, drawing one and losing two.
Belgrano are experiencing poor form at the moment. Last Monday, the team had a rough night and registered a scoreless home draw against relegation candidates Sarmiento in an uneventful game. El Pirata are now on three league matches without a win, drawing two and losing one, which means the team accumulated 12 points in nine matches in the context of an irregular campaign, winning three, drawing three and losing three.
Union have been awful so far and it’s no surprise that their coach left last week, so even if Belgrano is not in great form I’ll trust them here not to lose.
