Argentine Primera Division: Union vs Atletico Tucuman Odds – Dec 5, 2020

Union Santa Fe suffered a heavy blow last Saturday when they lost at Racing Club 1-0 away in an entertaining game. The team wasted a big opportunity against a mostly young XI and they still have to fight in order to qualify for the Fase Campeonato. With seven points in five rounds (winning two, drawing one and losing two), El Tatengue is still occupying the second spot in group 1 and will advance in case of avoiding the defeat here. Union won their last home match in domestic action (over Racing Club 2-0), which broke a five-match winless run of three draws and two defeats at Estadio 15 de Abril in national competitions.

Atletico Tucuman will certainly win group 1 following their 3-2 home success over Sarandi Arsenal last Monday when they scored twice in stoppage time to reverse the score. El Decano remains perfect on 15 points, leading second-placed Union Santa Fe by eight. Of course, they won both away matches in this competition (over Racing Club 4-1 and against Sarandi Arsenal 2-1). Atletico Tucuman left-back Luciano Monzon misses out again with muscle issues. Ramiro Carrera remains sidelined. Javier Toledo is also unavailable due to a knee problem. Coach Ricardo Zielinski will use this game to rotate his players.

Even if Union will advance with a draw, I don’t think they want to take any risks and considering Atletico will rest some of their regulars because they already won the group, the hosts should be able to take the 3 points.
