Union – Independiente

Union Santa Fe returned to losing ways on Tuesday, when they were dominated by Platense and succumbed to a 1-0 away defeat. Therefore, Gustavo Munua’s men lost four of their last seven Liga Profesional matches (winning two and drawing four). They remain on 26 points in the league table with one game in hand and are still unable to climb into the Copa Sudamericana places in the 2022 aggregate table.

Independiente striker Leandro Fernandez netted a brace and allowed his team to reverse the score and beat Sarmiento 2-1 away last Monday.
