Union – Atletico Tucuman

Union Santa Fe secured a valuable point on their visit to Talleres following a scoreless draw last Thursday, when goalkeeper Sebastian Moyano stopped a penalty in the 93rd minute. As a result, El Tatengue are on four points in two rounds in the Copa Liga Profesional and also made it three league games unbeaten without even conceding, having won two and drawn one in that spell. At home, Gustavo Munua’s men won their last three matches (over Atletico Tucuman, Colon and River Plate).

Things have been tough for Atletico Tucuman lately and recently-appointed coach Juan Manuel Azconzabal is also finding trouble. Last Thursday, the side rescued their first point in this competition after making it 2-2 at home against Platense in stoppage time. However, that result means they are on 11 league matches without a win, having drawn four and lost seven in that time. El Decano will probably be threatened by relegation unless they improve soon. Furthermore, Atletico grabbed only one point from the last 27 available on away turf.

Union is strong at home, Atletico has been terrible everywhere but specially away, so I can’t expect anything different than a home win here.
