Tigre vs Union
Tigre wasted another chance to climb out of the relegation zone in the aggregate table (now trailing CA Central Cordoba by one point) last Sunday, when they lacked effectiveness up front and ended up drawing 0-0 away at direct contenders Sarmiento. El Matador made it three Liga Profesional matches without a win, drawing one and losing two in that spell, which keeps them on ten points after 11 rounds. Tigre claimed a single victory across their last nine matches at Estadio Jose Dellagiovanna, drawing two and losing six. Striker Eric Ramirez returns after succumbing to a knee problem shortly before the last match.
Union Santa Fe are flying high at the moment. Last Monday, the team showed an enjoyable performance to secure a massive 3-0 home victory over Argentinos Juniors, which allowed them to climb into second spot of the Liga Profesional table on 22 points, just one behind leaders Huracan. In fact, El Tatengue made it four league games unbeaten, winning two and drawing two to hold onto one of the Copa Sudamericana spots in the aggregate table. On a sorry note, Union grabbed just two points across the last three away matches. Coach Cristian Gonzalez will pick from a complete squad on Saturday.
Union hasn’t been strong when playing away but they are still one of the best teams of this tournament and they can become leaders if they win here and Huracan doesn’t. Tigre is one of the worst teams this season, they look bound to get relegated so I don’t know how they will manage to win here and at these odds the visitors are a good bet.
