Tigre vs Rosario Central
Tigre secured a massive point on their visit to Racing Club last Sunday, when they drew 3-3 after trailing 3-1 at one point. El Matador are improving after a dubious start in the Liga Profesional, having lost only one of their last four matches in this competition (two victories and one draw) to make it 13 points, which places them only two points behind the last Copa Sudamericana berth in the 2022 aggregate table. Tigre have been unbeaten in their last three matches at Estadio Jose Dellagiovanna, winning two and drawing one in that spell.
Rosario Central’s four-game unbeaten streak of three victories and one draw in the league came to an end last Monday, when the team succumbed to a surprising 3-0 home defeat to CA Central Cordoba following a poor performance. As a result, El Canalla remain on 14 points after 11 rounds in the Liga Profesional, a sorry campaign that prevents them from fighting for a continental ticket in the aggregate table. On away turf, Central managed four points from 15 on offer having registered one victory, one draw and three defeats.
Despite a few good results Rosario Central is a terrible team, and midweek they were eliminated by 2nd division club Quilmes in Copa Argentina so their manager Carlos Tevez decided to make many changes. Tigre is a much more solid team and should win here.
