Tigre vs River

Tigre fans will have felt devastated after the team’s 2-1 away defeat at Colon as they conceded the winner in the 90th minute. Having not won any of their last three league games (two draws and one loss), El Matador remain on 18 points and continue wasting opportunities of climbing into the Copa Sudamericana zone in the 2022 aggregate table. On a positive note, Diego Martinez’s men have been unbeaten in their last five matches at home in the Liga Profesional, winning three and drawing two since losing to Banfield in round four. The squad are fully fit to host River Plate on Saturday.

River Plate are definitely entering the fight for the title. Last Sunday, the team showed a great display of football to beat CA Central Cordoba 3-0 at home. As a result, Marcelo Gallardo’s men are on four league games unbeaten, winning three and drawing one, and accumulate 25 points, trailing leaders Atletico Tucuman by seven.  

River showed their offensive power with a solid win last week, Tigre also has some of their own, so I think this should be an open game with goals.
