Tigre vs Huracan
Alexis Castro’s goal in the 86th minute gave Tigre a massive 2-1 away success at Lanus in a hard-fought match last Saturday. El Matador are producing a decent campaign on their return to the top flight: having lost only one of their last eight league games (three wins and four draws), they accumulated 22 points in the Liga Profesional, which places them two points behind the last Copa Sudamericana berth in the aggregate table. Furthermore, Tigre are on six matches unbeaten at their own stadium, winning three and drawing three since losing to Banfield in June.
Huracan don’t give up on their fight for the title. Last Thursday, the team secured a big 2-0 home success over CA Central Cordoba, with playmaker Franco Cristaldo netting a brace. As a result, Diego Dabove’s men extended their unbeaten streak to six league games, having won four and drawn two in that spell. El Globo made it 31 points in the Liga Profesional, trailing leaders Atletico Tucuman and Gimnasia LP at the moment. Furthermore, they continue into the Copa Sudamericana zone in the 2022 aggregate table.
Tigre has a powerful attack but also one of the worst 5 defenses in the league with over 20 goals conceded, so I expect an open game here as the visitors won’t be happy with the draw.
