Tigre vs Central Cordoba
Tigre played their best match of the season last Monday and showed a great display of effort to secure a 2-2 away draw at Velez Sarsfield as they had to come back from a two-goal disadvantage. However, El Matador remain occupying the bottom spot in the aggregate table, accumulating just two points in seven matches. They made it nine league games without a win, with three stalemates and six losses in that span. At home, Tigre took just two points from the last 12 on offer. Brahian Aleman and Facundo Giacopuzzi have served their respective suspensions and are available for Friday.
CA Central Cordoba deflated their performance again and were lucky to avoid the defeat last Monday, when they ended up drawing 0-0 against Atletico Tucuman at Estadio Madre de Ciudades. As a result, El Ferroviario are on three league matches without a win, drawing two and losing one in that spell. Abel Balbo’s men are producing a poor campaign, with just five points in seven matches, three above the bottom spot in the aggregate table. Central also are winless in their last seven on the road (four stalemates and three defeats).
Tigre finally are looking alive, with a draw at Velez coming back from being 2 goals down, and a partial win in Copa Argentina 1-0 (the game was suspended due to incidents) and now I think it’s time for them to get their first win and a game at home vs Central Cordoba who are terrible when playing away should be the perfect spot for them to get out of this terrible streak.
