Tigre vs AldosiviÂ
Thanks to a goal from Blas Armoa in the first half, Tigre secured a massive 1-0 away success at title candidates Gimnasia LP. Following that victory, Diego Martinez’s men made it six league games unbeaten, with three wins and three draws in that spell. As a result, El Matador are now on 30 points in the Liga Profesional, which finally allowed them to climb into one of the Copa Sudamericana places in the aggregate table. At home, Tigre haven’t lost any of their last eight, winning four and drawing four.
Aldosivi’s crisis is getting deeper and deeper. The team took another step towards the second division last Monday, when they were thrashed by CA Central Cordoba 3-0 at home in a six-pointer, with interim boss Diego Villar in the dugout. El Tiburon are now on seven league games without a win, drawing two and losing five, which places them bottom in the Liga Profesional table on 13 points. Following this terrible campaign, they remain sitting into one of the relegation places in the respective table, nine points behind the first safe spots with six rounds to go. On away turf, Aldosivi managed only two points from the last 15 available since (without even scoring) beating Lanus 1-0 in late July.
It’s impossible to imagine how is Aldosivi going to avoid relegation. They are getting worse every week, their mood is just terrible and Tigre should beat them easily here.
