Tigre – Atletico Tucuman

Tigre left good impressions on their visit to Defensa y Justicia last Saturday, but they couldn’t open up the scoreline and ended up drawing 0-0, wasting the chance of climbing into the Copa Sudamericana zone in the aggregate table. However, El Matador made it four league matches unbeaten (winning two and drawing two since losing to Patronato in round nine) and accumulated 17 points in this competition. At home, Tigre collected ten points from the last 12 available thanks to three wins in a row and one draw.

After their first defeat in the league, Atletico Tucuman returned to winning ways last Thursday, when beating CA Central Cordoba 1-0 at home thanks to a strike from Renzo Tesuri in the second half. Having left the relegation threats behind for now, the team remain as league leaders on 28 points following an excellent campaign (eight victories and four draws). On away turf, El Decano managed 11 of those points, having won three, drawn two and lost only one in this competition.

Atletico are the leaders and lost only one game, but I think they will find a very tough opponent in this Tigre that has a strong and solid attack.
