Talleres vs Rosario Central
After a disappointing start, Talleres took their first victory under recently-appointed boss Walter Ribonetto last Tuesday, when beating Huracan 2-1 away at Argentinos Juniors (with Federico Girotti and Marcos Portillo scoring). La T made it three points in two Copa Liga Profesional rounds and also two victories across the last three matches in this competition (along with a single defeat). Talleres lost 1-0 to Gimnasia LP in their last home match after 16 games unbeaten as the hosting side (eight wins and eight draws).
Defending champions Rosario Central are still to improve in 2024. Last Tuesday, the team showed a poor version and had to settle for a scoreless home draw against Banfield. El Canalla made it two points in as many rounds in group A but also extended their unbeaten run to 13 league games (six victories and seven stalemates in regular time).
I like the OVER here because the hosts showed their attacking potential in the midweek win vs Huracan, they are solid at home despite the unlucky defeat of the 1st round and will face here the defending champions who will finally have their best attacker, colombian Jaminton Campaz, back in the starting lineup, and could miss their best defender, Carlos Quintana, who will be a game time decision.
