Talleres vs Newell’s
Talleres are still finding their best version under recently-appointed coach Angel Hoyos. Last Tuesday, the team had to settle for a scoreless draw away at relegation candidates Patronato. They remain winless in the Copa Liga Profesional, having collected two points in three games without even scoring (in fact, the side are on four winless league games, drawing two and losing two).
Newell’s Old Boys succumbed to their second consecutive defeat (and the third across the last six league games, along with one win and two draws) last Sunday, when they lost to River Plate 2-0 at home. As a result, the team remain on three points in as many matches under coach Javier Sanguinetti, who took the reins in January.
Newell’s is still a team trying to find their identity, but Talleres won’t have their two best strikers (Santos and Valoyes) so I expect the visitors not to lose here.
