Talleres vs Banfield

 

Talleres will need to win the remaining two matches if they want to advance to this tournament’s final following their 2-2 away draw at Gimnasia LP last Monday. Alexander Medina’s men remain second-placed in the Fase Campeonato’s group B on five points, four behind their next opponents. The team are on four matches without defeat in the Copa Liga Profesional, but they won only one of those.

Banfield took another big step towards the Copa Liga Profesional’s final last Monday, when beating Colon 2-1 away thanks to goals from Giuliano Galoppo and Mauricio Asenjo. The team have been unbeaten in their last five matches, drawing the last two in the first stage and winning all three in the Fase Campeonato to stay as group B leaders on nine points, four above Talleres with two games to go, which means they need two more points to advance to the final.

Same as the other game, Talleres must win or their chances of reaching the final will be gone and I have to expect at least a couple of goals in this game considering both have been overish teams lately.
