Talleres – Union
Talleres showed great improvements last Sunday, when they secured an easy 3-1 away success at relegated side Aldosivi following an interesting performance. La T made it two victories across their last three matches in the Liga Profesional (along with one defeat) to accumulate 31 points in 25 matches, an improved campaign with regard to the previous months (even though it’s not enough to fight for one of the continental tickets). Talleres succumbed to a single defeat in their last eight home matches, having won five and drawn two in that spell. Winger Diego Valoyes has served his one-game suspension and is available.
Union Santa Fe put up a good fight on their visit to Atletico Tucuman (one of the best teams in the league last Monday, when they registered a 1-1 away stalemate. However, El Tatengue continue performing a campaign that is far from enough for their fans: the team celebrated a single victory across their last eight matches in this competition, drawing two and losing five, which means they accumulated 31 points in 25 games so far. On away turf, Union have been winless in the last nine, with four stalemates and five defeats. Captain Claudio Corvalan reached the yellow-card limit at Atletico Tucuman and is suspended.
I expect Talleres to continue their decent run and take the win against Union who will have some important missings in defense and attack.
