Sarmiento vs Tigre
Thanks to goalkeeper Sebastian Meza, who saved a penalty in the 98th minute, Sarmiento secured a valuable point on their visit to CA Central Cordoba last Saturday, drawing 0-0. Israel Damonte’s men made it three league matches unbeaten, winning two and drawing one, to accumulate 29 points in the Liga Profesional. Following this good campaign, El Verde need only three more points to secure their top-flight status for next season.
Tigre continue to improve game after game. Last time out, the team haven’t found any difficulties to beat relegation candidates Aldosivi 3-0 at home following an enjoyable performance. El Matador extended their unbeaten streak to seven league games (four victories and three draws) and made it 33 points in 22 rounds in the Liga Profesional, which allows them to remain sitting into the Copa Sudamericana zone in the aggregate table.
Even though Tigre are a better team, Sarmiento can be solid as well, specially at home and I can see them playing safe to get at least a point to get closer to secure their place in the top division.
