Sarmiento vs Belgrano
Sarmiento put up a very good fight on their visit to River Plate last Sunday, but they ended up losing 1-0 away after conceding just three minutes before the final whistle. Even though they made it two losses across the last three league games (along with a single victory), El Verde accumulated ten points in eight Liga Profesional rounds, which allows them to stay seven points above the relegation zone in the aggregate rankings. In fact, Sarmiento won their last two home matches without even conceding (over Estudiantes and Racing Club). Coach Israel Damonte can pick from all his usual starters on Sunday.
Belgrano returned to winning ways last Monday, when they secured a valuable 1-0 home success over Godoy Cruz thanks to a strike from Juan Barinaga in the first half. El Pirata are producing an interesting campaign in the Liga Profesional, accumulating 14 points after winning four and drawing one of the last six matches (along with a single defeat in that spell). However, Belgrano managed a single point from the last nine available as the visiting outfit. There is no relevant news for coach Juan Cruz Real to visit Sarmiento on Sunday.
Sarmiento last two home games were wins against Estudiantes and Racing, two of the best teams in the league, and last week they managed to hold River at their own stadium for 90 minutes and conceded in stoppage time, so I see no reason why not to trust them here at these odds considering that Belgrano is a poor away team.
