Argentine Primera Division: Sarmiento – Rosario Central Odds for August 6, 2021

Sarmiento – Rosario Central

Sarmiento put up a good fight at Racing Club last Saturday, but they ended up losing 1-0 after conceding just six minutes before the final whistle. Therefore, Mario Sciacqua’s men accumulated only three points so far, having lost three and won only one of their four games, which drops the team down to the bottom spot of the points average table. At home, the side took 11 points from 24 on offer during the 2021 season. Playmaker Sergio Quiroga will return after missing two games due to a muscle problem.

Rosario Central had a sorry start in the Liga Profesional as they lost three of the first four games (including the last two). Last Monday, the team produced a poor performance and were beaten by Aldosivi 2-1 at home. Therefore, Cristian Gonzalez’s men remain on three points thanks to their home success over Velez Sarsfield in round two. On away turf, El Canalla lost their last three league matches. Jorge Broun and Marco Ruben have overcome Covid-19 and are available while Michael Covea arrived from Deportivo Tachira, Venezuela. On the other hand, Lucas Gamba suffered an injury setback and will miss out. Most of the usual starters will rest ahead of next Tuesday’s Copa Sudamericana semi-final game against Red Bull Bragantino from Brazil at home.

Sarmiento is not the most reliable team but at home against a Rosario Central without many starters, looks like a great opportunity for them to get a win they really need.
