Sarmiento – Lanus

Sarmiento played their worst game of the season so far last Saturday, when they succumbed to an unexpected 3-0 away defeat at CA Central Cordoba, who hadn’t earned any points beforehand. El Verde remain on two points after four Copa Liga Profesional matches under coach Sergio Rondina and also made it six league games without a win (drawing three and losing three). At home, Sarmiento also are winless in the last six, with four stalemates and two losses since beating Boca Juniors 1-0 in August.

After a problematic start in 2024, Lanus produced an excellent recovery last Sunday. Following a remarkable performance, El Granate managed an easy 3-0 home success over Platense to break a two-match losing streak in the Copa Liga Profesional. In addition, Ricardo Zielinski’s men made it six points in four matches in group B. On away turf, Lanus secured three points from six available so far as a product of one victory and one loss.

Sarmiento have one of the worst defenses in the league right now with 7 goals conceded in 4 games, Lanus comes from a solid 3-0 win where their best striker Leandro Diaz finally scored their first two goals of the season, so I’ll go for the OVER here as I can see both teams scoring in this game.
