Sarmiento – Banfield

Sarmiento interim coach Martin Funes had a sorry debut after Mario Sciacqua’s departure: his team lost 2-0 away at Boca Juniors last Saturday, which represented their third consecutive defeat in the Liga Profesional. El Verde dropped them down to the 24th place in the relegation table after accumulating only 23 points in 21 games in this tournament. Sarmiento’s home campaign has been irregular as they registered five victories, one draw and five defeats in this competition.

After two wins in a row, Banfield succumbed to their first loss under recently-appointed coach Diego Dabove. It was last Thursday, when the team wasted several goalscoring chances (including a penalty) and ended up losing 2-0 to Aldosivi at home. El Taladro continue producing a poor campaign in the Liga Profesional, with 21 points in as many games, which places them in the 18th spot of the relegation table. Banfield won at Gimnasia LP 1-0 in their last away game to break an eight-match winless run of six draws and two losses on the road.

Also two irregular and poor teams meeting here, I can’t see why Banfield would be favorites away so I’m betting the hosts not to lose.
