San Lorenzo vs Lanus
Lanus are going through a little slump in the league. In the Liga Profesional opener, they played far below expectations and suffered a surprising 2-0 home defeat to newcomers Independiente Rivadavia. Following that result, El Granate are on four league matches without a win, drawing one and losing three in that spell, a streak that keeps them out of the continental places in the aggregate table. Ricardo Zielinski’s men also lost their last away game in domestic action (2-0 at Racing Club) after four consecutive victories as the visiting side in this competition. On Wednesday 15, Lanus won 5-0 at home over Venezuela’s Metropolitanos FC in a Copa Sudamericana group game.
San Lorenzo will use their usual starters after resting them last weekend in the 0-1 defeat at Riestra. Morale is high after the midweek 3-2 win vs Liverpool but they are still not solid in defense since the coach change, they won’t have their starting goalkeeper Altamirano who is injured and Lanus also comes from scoring 5 goals midweek in Sudamericana, so I think this totals line is too low and worth a bet.
