San Lorenzo vs Banfield
San Lorenzo managed a valuable point on their visit to Defensa y Justicia last Saturday, drawing 0-0 after showing a poor performance. El Ciclon succumbed to a single defeat across their last four league games (along with two victories and one stalemate) to make it 14 points in the Liga Profesional, a poor campaign that keeps them just eight points above the relegation zone in the aggregate table. San Lorenzo won only one of their last eight league games at Estadio Pedro Bidegain, drawing three and losing four.
Banfield took a big breather last Monday, when they showed an interesting version to beat Independiente Rivadavia 2-0 at home thanks to goals from Martin Canete and Mathias De Ritis. El Taladro made it two consecutive victories to accumulate 17 points in the Liga Profesional, now advantaging bottom-placed Tigre by 12 points in the aggregate rankings. In fact, Banfield succumbed to a single defeat across their last four on away turf, winning two and drawing one. Playmaker Damian Diaz succumbed to a tibia fracture and will remain sidelined for several months.
After a couple of terrible performances San Lorenzo will use a more offensive lineup with Iker Muniain leading it. Banfield will have missings in defense like Maciel and Enrique who are injured same as San Lorenzo in midfield without Braida and Tripichio, so I’ll go for the OVER here because the hosts should take more risks or they will have to change coach very soon.
