Rosario Central closed up the group stage in the third spot with a 1-1 away draw at Banfield, having produced a decent performance even though the team had nothing to play for: El Canalla finished third-placed in group 3 table with seven points as a product of two victories, one draw and three defeats.
Patronato closed the Copa Liga Profesional’s first stage with a 0-0 home draw against Velez Sarsfield in a boring game. The team were bottom in group 6, having accumulated only two points in six matches. In fact, El Patron has been winless in their last eight games in the top flight, drawing two and losing six, and also failed to score in the last four. The team are on 14 away matches without a win, registering five draws and nine defeats since beating Colon 1-0 in July 2019.
Rosario Central might not be the most reliable team but they should beat Patronato, arguably the worst team in the league right now, that will have many missings due to injuries.
