Rosario Central vs Newell’s
Rosario Central are starting to show slight improvements under coach Carlos Tevez. Last Saturday, they registered a scoreless away draw at Independiente, but the team were close to securing their second win in a row. El Canalla are performing a poor campaign in the Liga Profesional, having secured eight points so far after winning only one of their last five league matches (along with one draw and three losses in that spell). On a positive note, Central secured seven points from 12 available at home as a product of two victories, one draw and one loss.
Newell’s Old Boys had to settle for a scoreless home draw against Racing Club in a boring match last Sunday. Therefore, the team remain unbeaten in the Liga Profesional, accumulating 16 points as a product of four victories and four stalemates, which places them at the top of the league table alongside Atletico Tucuman and Argentinos Juniors so far. On away turf, La Lepra have been almost perfect in this competition, having grabbed ten points from 12 on offer so far.
Huge city derby here and there’s no doubt the visitors are the best team and I expect them not to lose.
