Rosario Central vs Huracan
Rosario Central came back from a 2-0 disadvantage on their visit to Lanus to secure an important point. The 2-2 draw allowed the team to make it four league games without defeat (two victories and two stalemates). El Canalla are performing a worthy campaign despite playing with a young squad: they accumulated 32 points in this tournament and hold onto their chances to qualify for the next Copa Sudamericana: Cristian Gonzalez’s men are occupying the last continental berth in the aggregate table and will secure their ticket in the event of beating Huracan. Central also are unbeaten in their last four home matches, having won three and drawn one.
Huracan hold onto a tiny chance of qualifying for the next Copa Sudamericana thanks to their 1-0 home success over Racing Club, with Matias Coccaro netting the winner in the first half. El Globo made it seven points from the last 15 on offer to accumulate 35 in the Liga Profesional, which places them two points behind the last continental berth in the aggregate table. That means they need to win here and wait three of the following results: Racing lose and Union Santa Fe, Gimnasia LP and Argentinos Juniors don’t win.
Huracan needs a lot of help to secure the Copa Sudamericana place in this last round, and I expect a more confident Rosario Central to get the win they need.
