Argentine Primera Division: Rosario Central vs Colon odds for June 25, 2023

Rosario Central vs Colon

Rosario Central found difficulties in their last league game, when they registered a scoreless away draw at Barracas Central in a boring match. El Canalla remain occupying one of the Copa Sudamericana spots following an excellent campaign: they are now on 34 points, occupying sixth spot of the Liga Profesional table after losing only one of their last six matches in this competition, winning three and drawing two. Central have been strong at home lately: they are unbeaten in the last 16 games, with nine victories and seven draws since losing to Banfield 1-0 in August.

Thanks to a goal from Facundo Garces in the first half, Colon picked up an important 1-0 home success over Estudiantes last time out. That victory allowed them to stop a four-match winless streak of three draws and one defeat and turn it into a streak of four games unbeaten (one win and three stalemates). Furthermore, El Sabalero made it 23 points in the Liga Profesional and opened a five-point gap over the relegation place in that table. On a sorry note, Nestor Gorosito’s men are on four away games without a win, drawing two and losing two since beating Boca Juniors 2-1 in early April. Rafael Delgado and Augusto Schott had to be replaced against Estudiantes with muscle issues and are doubtful.

Rosario Central has been extremely strong at home this season and while I think they should win, I’ll go for the over here considering Colon has improved lately and the hosts have the 3rd best attack in the league with 29 goals scored.
