Rosario Central vs Central Cordoba
Rosario Central are slightly improving lately. Last Sunday, the team secured an important point following a goalless draw in an even game at group leaders Colon, who had won all five matches beforehand. However, El Canalla’s campaign has been irregular so far as they earned eight points in six rounds, having won only one of the last five games (along with two draws and two defeats). On a positive note, Central are on six league matches unbeaten at home, having won four and drawn two.
CA Central Cordoba extended their unbeaten run to five league matches (three victories and two draws) after their 1-1 home stalemate against Estudiantes in an intense match in round six. As a result of this positive run, Gustavo Coleoni’s men remain inside of the playoff spots in group A, having secured 11 points so far. El Ferroviario also are on four consecutive successes on away turf (over Aldosivi, San Lorenzo, Atletico Tucuman and Estudiantes).
I don’t think that Central Cordoba is as good as their latest results show, they’ve been overperforming and they will have trouble against a Rosario Central that has been improving lately.
