River – Atletico Tucuman

River Plate continue finding trouble in the league. In matchday 13, the team had to settle for a disappointing scoreless away draw at Independiente despite playing against ten men since the 11th minute. El Millonario are producing an irregular campaign in this competition, having won only one of their last nine (along with six draws and two losses) to accumulate 18 points, which keeps them out of the Copa Libertadores’ zone in the aggregate table. On a positive note, River remain unbeaten in their last 15 home matches in domestic action, winning eight and drawing seven.

Atletico Tucuman are going through an enjoyable moment of form. Last time out, the team secured a big 1-0 home success over Racing Club thanks to a strike from Renzo Tesuri in the first half. Facundo Sava made it six wins across their last 11 league games (along with four stalemates and one loss) to climb into second spot of the Liga Profesional on 25 points, just two behind Velez Sarsfield. Atletico lost their last away game (1-0 at Rosario Central) after winning two and drawing two of the previous four as the visiting side.

River has been far from convincing lately despite the coach change, and next Tuesday they play at Chile the Copa Libertadores Quarterfinals so their minds might not be 100% here. Atletico Tucuman are looking good so this looks like a big handicap to cover for the hosts.
