Platense vs Talleres
Platense produced a worthy performance on their visit to defending champions Boca Juniors, but they didn’t have enough to return home with any points. The 3-1 away defeat means El Calamar claimed a single victory across their last 12 matches in league action, along with five stalemates and six losses. Martin Palermo’s men took five points in the first four rounds in the Liga Profesional, which keeps them into the relegation zone in the point-average table, one point behind CA Central Cordoba and Sarmiento who are safe.
Talleres are slightly finding their best version after a poor season in 2022. Last Sunday, the team didn’t face any trouble to beat CA Central Cordoba 2-0 at home, scoring twice before the 15th minute. Therefore, Javier Gandolfi’s men made it three league wins in a row to accumulate nine points in the Liga Profesional table, which places them just three points behind leaders Lanus.
I know Talleres is the best team of these two, but I don’t expect them to have it easy against this Platense that has been irregular but doesn’t lose that much at home.
