Platense vs Racing
Platense extended their winless run to three league matches (one draw and two defeats) last Wednesday, when they had to settle for a 1-1 home stalemate against Sarmiento in an entertaining game. As a result, El Calamar made it four points in as many matches on their return to the top flight. On a sorry note, Juan Manuel Llop’s men are without a win at home this season, having drawn one and lost one so far.
Thanks to Enzo Copetti’s goal in the second half, Racing Club managed their first victory of the season by beating Rosario Central 1-0 at home in an uneventful game last Monday. With coach Juan Antonio Pizzi taking a little breather after two draws and one defeat in the league start, La Academia made it five points in four rounds.
Can’t imagine an open game here between this Platense that is trying to survive in their first season back in the top league, and a Racing that just can’t find their best form.
